Bangladesh bans 10 'immoral' satellite channels

Bangladesh's military-backed government has put its foot down over 'immoral' foreign cable TV channels.

The interim government banned 10 channels, including Fashion TV, for violating laws on public morality.

Local cable operators are not allowed to broadcast channels showing "vulgar and obscene programmes" or which violate local customs and sensitivities.

Fashion TV shows mostly videos of catwalks and features a fairly high nipple count, so it's not surprising they stepped in.

The other channels were Channel V, AXN, Zoom, Ren TV, Gcop, Music India, Cine Max, The Music and Trendz.
