Japan's Kaguya-Selene probe has returned the first-ever high definition video of the Earth rising and setting.
The probe carries two 2.2Megapixel cameras, sponsored by Japanese state broadcaster NHK - eat your heart out David Attenborough!
It orbits just 100km above the Moon, and will survey the Earth's natural satellite for a year using these and other instruments.
Kaguya-Selene returned the first hi-def video of the Moon last week, and space agency JAXA has now posted video of Earthrise and Earthset online. They show the Earth as it looks from 380,000km away.
Sadly, the video has been down-res'd to 480x270 pixels at this stage, but it's still very nice.
