Direct TV Tivo Searching

Direct TV TiVo allows you to search through the EPG and schedule recording for next 14 days. The search options can be find under “pick program to record” and the tool performs search is “wish list”. You can search by actor, director, keyword, title or category.

• Actor’s wish list returns the show/movie description and cast list of that show/movie.
• Director’s wish list provides you with the works performed by the directors such as directed movie lists.
• In case a single word keyword wish list returns all the matches to that word but for multiple words it returns the possible combinations such as “Tom Cruise Nicole Kidman” will return you the list of movies they worked or produced together or shows they attend together.
• Title wish list looks for the whole word and is useful when you want a show with particular name.
• Category wish list searches a show belonging to a particular category such as only action movies. Moreover actor, director or keyword wish lists can also be categorized by applying filters as search only the movies of “Mel Gibson” which are “action”.

Direct TV Tivo Recording

You can record your favorite shows either manually or automatically. Your job is just to select the program to be recorded and all other work is for Direct TV TiVo. It keeps the track of your selected show/series/movie and updates automatically if date or time changes. You can record your programs either by wish list (keyword based recording) or by season passes (series recording).

• Season Passes: Season passes allow you to enhance your recording by requiring the fields number of episodes (“1-5” or “all”), deletion (“low space” or “delete myself”), duplicate or not (“first run only/first run and repeat/all duplication”) and also keeps the track that what time it’ll go on air and updates scheduling if required.
• Wish list: wish list combine the searching with recording that is either type of wish list can be set to record when it matches the given criteria.
• Moreover you can watch live TV as well as Recordings with pause, rewind, forward and instant replay feasibilities.

Direct TV Tivo Monthly Dues

Direct TV TiVo receivers cost additional $5.99 per month but no charges if you subscribe with Direct TV Total Choice Premier Package, no matter how many receivers you have. But the programming fee @ $4.99 per /month is due for each receiver.
